A+JOJO Scholars Program
The A+JOJO Scholars Program is the official program for all recipients of the Dr. Joakim Peter Memorial Scholarship to support their success in college and beyond. A+JOJO is grounded in the Chuukese word, achocho (pronounced ah-joe-joe) which means resiliency, toughness, persistence, or hard work. It incorporates academic excellence (A+) and the name (JOJO) of our friend and mentor the late Dr. Joakim Peter who lived and modeled for us resiliency, toughness, persistence, and hard work in the work of social justice.
